Sexual violence and harassment at the University of Leicester #MeTooOnCampus

Leicester UCU extend our solidarity and support to those students speaking out about their experiences of sexual violence and harassment experienced at the University of Leicester, and other higher education institutions.

These acts of violence are wholly unacceptable and have no place on our campus.

We call on the University of Leicester to listen carefully to what students are saying as there are lessons to learn. As a university community we must not only encourage students to report incidents, but we must also take the accusations seriously, follow them up appropriately and support our students throughout.
